concerning the elephant...

for those who asked about the elephant at amby's party, here are the particulars. i got the pattern from this book:

which is a pretty amazing book, if you ask me. i wanna make EVERYTHING in it. i'm not gifted as some of you are, i need a pattern. as i am learning the whole process of this sewing and crafting business i can see how you can add your own little touches to make it yours/unique. it has a lot of quilt patterns, but also some decor and toys. what i love most about it is that she has the projects separated into chapters by how long it takes to make them (i.e. 'less-than-2-hour gifts', ' 2-4 hour gifts', etc...). i totally scored because i got this book AND the heather ross one i wanted from amazon (my first time ordering through them) and the cost of BOTH totaled only $9 more than if i were to buy just ONE for the actual retail price! (they are $27.50 each, i got both for $36 and some-odd cents) and the shipping was free! i highly suggest you look there first.

oh "elfant" as amby so adoringly calls him! i had to tell you- he insisted that we take elfant with us to the preschool party at the discovery center on friday and every time i glanced at the back seat he was clutching it in his arms and hugging it or giving it a drink out of his sippy cup! :)

so thanks! i'd say he loves it!

oh, yay, he likes the 'elfant'! i'm so glad! because with hand-made, you never know if they'll like it compared to other store-bought stuff. know whattamean?

and ashley, i saw that stacked coins quilt. someday...someday.
