punkin patch time!!!

and our countdown to Halloween is on a roll!!
went to the pumpkin patch with faith on monday with lots of friends.
did the hayride and picked out our pumpkins.
this friday night we're gonna watch 'the nightmare before Christmas'.
ghoulish stuff!!
speaking of nightmarish: i had to do eight out of ten massages yesterday in a sauna.
seriously.
i have no problem when there's no electricity.
i LOVE it, really.
i'm all for living a life less dependent on technology.
it's just when i'm sweating like a pig AND i get my period AND there's no AC AND the window can't open and leaving the door ajar is pretty much POINTLESS.
yeah, i'd have to say that's pretty much the only time i really have a problem with power outages.
i even blurted out to my coworker an "i really don't even wanna be here right now!".
yep.
i went there.
it was THAT bad.
and that's pretty bad.
i blame it on the heat and hormones.
it.was.brutal.
and bikram yoga ain't got nothin' on me.

M.I.A.

yeah, been hanging with my brother and his family (auden, i miss you already! {tear} oh -- and you too, emily and makana), and helping out at my parents' house. the movers came today. it is official: they are leaving. January. so that's where you'll find me. at their house taking inheriting random items that they no longer want. i had ambitions to sew some Christmas presents this year...that's something i need to tackle AFTER i learn how to sew. i forgive you, mom, for not getting around to teaching me (totally kidding, i know you are over-your-head busy)...when you guys are gone, all that time i used to spend at your place can be put towards me teaching myself. i know i can do it (if not, i can call on echo or melissa or aunty kapewa or colleen or the stephanies or even ashley {when she gets back -- though i'm hoping by then i won't need to bother her} -- for some crafty/sewing advice). and i know i am going to miss you guys, too. we'll find some cheap Alaska fare and come visit (Doug found some $523 roundtrips DIRECT from Hawaii!), maybe hit up Oregon while we're up there. so, if anyone wants to come visit Hawaii, you know, come home for a visit, hit up the beach and get some nice, warm sun (and your tans back!), we are always here. and i will love visitors. hint, hint. as for now, i got a few home projects to work on, Doug completing his masters (hooray!!!), Oregon next week (i know, i keep mentioning it -- i'm just a tad bit excited!), Christmas, the new year, parents and siblings to mourn (for moving away). lots to keep me busy. oh, and if anyone wants a massage, ring me up. i can also provide gift certificates!

oh, joy!

okay, so no new pictures for this one. i am pretty excited about the holiday season. i have been exceptionally happy this week because i have finally been utilizing my abilities as an LMT, and gave three official in-home massages. and all three re-booked!!! hooray for repeat clients!!! it's been so long since i have had my own income. and thank you, thank you aunty. if this is steady, then you MUST accept payment for your babysitting services.
feels good...now i can support my etsy friends (echo, ashley, and melissa). and i only plan to work a few hours a week, my other jobs (as wife and mother) come first. and doug does a great job being the breadwinner for our family. i am grateful for that.
other reasons for my smiling face: i get to go to the temple tomorrow. and this morning, aaron took our family photos (let's hope i look awesome like steph, hehe). and in two weeks it is Thanksgiving, and my brother and his family will be here visiting. then for Christmas, our little family will be hopping on a plane and heading to Oregon. yay!!! and the countdown begins!! hoping for a white Christmas (my first!).
