summer

with summer here in full-swing, we have been spending a lot of time in the water. i have been having to set limits as to how much sun we all get so we don't all die of skin cancer. it's intense, lemme tell ya. on friday and saturday we went to castles. i happened to not get stung...until i decided to play with faith in the super-shallow whitewash - where you can't see the blue bubbles - then i got stung. figures. and my two good friends stephanie and echo had their babies. yay! now i can vicariously enjoy having a newborn around, since kalei and drew aren't near and my "babies" aren't anymore. (mom, i ran into sister haiola and she says she can't wait to retire in two years. and i told her that you just got called as relief society president and she said that will keep you busy! everytime i see someone they ask about you all. i tell them you guys are enjoying it and adjusting to life there. and that we hope to visit soon.) oh, doug is enjoying his job - despite all the paycuts Lingle is making to the education budget here. we are grateful he has a job and he is finally able to experience PAID holidays.
