Kaʻaʻawa Hōʻike 2012

last run-through before the real performance

Kindergarteners

Maui and his brothers, fishing the islands from the sea.
Each grade performed songs about a different island.
Ka'a'awa doesn't have a sixth grade court, either.  They just perform like all the other classes.
After being a part of Laie and Kahuku elementary May Day performances, this school is way more low-key.

"pupu hinuhinu pupu hinuhinu e o ke Kahakai Kahakai e, pupu hinuhinu e..."
I learned this song from my first grade kupuna.

second graders

my little violinist

the entire school - finale

can you spy faith and malik?

I haven't been on your blog in such a long time :( It is so fun to see your kids and how much they have grown! They are adorable and you have such fun times together. No wonder Emily and Makana want to get back there. Tell them hi from "Emily's mom" :)
