i really miss hiking. it is something doug and i did often. before kids, that is. hikes i have done:
-pupukea
-the one in mokuleia (don't know the name, but you hike to the summit and can look down on makua valley on the west side)
-around kaena point (does that count?)
-laie falls
-laie summit
-the one behind BYU (forgot what it was called...)
-hauula lp.
-sacred falls
-one without a name in punalu'u, behind by green valley i think. there were flumes and it was neat, but i think it was private property.
-kahana valley
-the one in ka'a'awa to the waterfall
-maunawili falls
-manoa falls
-hanakapiai beach and falls (kaua'i)
-pololu (big island)
-honokane'iki (big island)
-black butte (oregon)
-three-fingered jack (oregon)
-marion lake (oregon)
-the one where you get really close to mt. jefferson -- don't remember what it's called. (oregon)
-pacaya crater in guatemala (i thought it was gonna blow any sec. because it was spewing sulfurous smoke, and i was so outta shape i thought i was gonna die. seriously.)
and i think that's about it, give or take a few. some i've been on several times, others just once. sometimes i wish i could just spontaneously up and go on a hike whenever i felt like it. but then, i am a mother now. and i can't go by myself. someday i want to do the na pali coast. that would be fun. for now i'm enjoying the fun baby hikes we go on together as a family.

i just did the maunawilli falls hike a couple of weeks ago. it was lot sof fun! It made me wnt to get out and do more hikes!
i used to be an AVID hiker!! in utah i would seriously go on 3-4 a week ... i haven't learned the land here yet, so i'm intimidated to just get out there and go. maybe you could show me around?
oh wait. kids. nevermind.
maybe when they're older ...
WHen you have the chance for Na Pali...go. It is AMAZING! We did it a few months before I got pregnant with Eden...and I am soooo glad because there would probably be no chance of it now. ;-)
